What is Hysteroscopy?
In hysteroscopy, problems in vagina and cervix can be diagnosed and treated simultaneously. With a special optical device called Hysteroscope, intrauterine is observed. Hysteroscopy is applied under general anesthesia. The duration of operation varies according to the method applied, but is approximately 30 minutes.
Hysteroscopy can be performed for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. For diagnostic purposes, it is mostly used in office hysteroscopy today. Some of them performed for therapeutic purposes is done with the help of Office hysteroscopy. Polyps, non-heavy adhesions, deep curtains can be corrected during the office hysteroscopy, while the common uterine adhesions, deep curtain cuts and resection are used in the treatment of uterine fibroids.
